Our pet project which has lead to a huge mindset change towards theatre, this Chennai based project allows us to tie up with Campus theatre groups and we provide financial and artistic support and make sure the college thespians get to perform under the arc lights in a public show.
Over the 3 years, over 35 CTI’s have taken place that is over 600 performers from over 18 colleges from the city. Everything from choice of script, support in writing originalcontent, specific acting workshops to stage lighting & auditoriums the planis laid out by us and all the students have to do is what they enjoy best perform.
The Campus Theatre Initiative model paves way to MYTF only those campus’ who have been initiated through CTIs may get a slot at MYTF and over thereby building a safe ecosystem andrewarding them with the next level immediately.
MY Theatre Festival is our flagship theatre festival aimed at giving under 25 aficionados of the craft a bigger and better platform to showcase their talent.
Starting by curating & Producing plays, Crea-Shakthi now undertakes special production centric training & consults aspiring under 25 groups leading up to full blown performances under the banner of MYTF every Feb – March.
Just by sheer scale it is pitted to be the biggest youth theatre festival in India – with over 120 actors – 10 campus groups and 7 plays overone weekend at The Museum Theatre, Egmore! It is now into its 5 th year!
