What Defines the Modern Indian Woman? “Dolls” Delves into 10 personal stories – part real, part fiction all through 10 women and the sum of their experiences. Sometimes we seek way too much inspiration from idols and heroes at a distance, we forget the everyday challenges, conflicts women face, and more importantly, overcome. In different styles of Storytelling, The play attempts to weave in the spirit of women – each of their stories, symbolized by a doll, that brings forth humour, pathos, wit, passion, grit and a myriad of emotions which we as a society have been ignorant of. Their stories may not seem special, but they ring true to the audience, and we experience it everyday – but it’s special to them,the actors, as they LIVE it – everyday!

Founded in March 2012, Creashakthi started out as a ‘Fund’ by four partners who’s passion for the craft prompted them to grow theatre in the city. In less than three years, Creashakthi has grown into nine partner strong firm, an institution that provides a platform for theatre, offering training and theatre-based learning solutions, curating arguably the largest youth theatre festival in the country, a well-established stand-up comedy wing and offering full-time employment to professionals.
